Bio

The majority of my professional career has been in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Graduate Admissions for the Health Professions, and Residence Life. My Master's degree is in Management with an emphasis in Organizational Development. I immensely enjoy working with college students and young professionals, witnessing their personal and professional growth through work experience. I have always been very interested in the "people-side" of the work environment, helping my staff develop professional skill sets that will make them more competitive, yet understanding the personal value of their contributions within their organization.

Applying principles of Servant Leadership within my workplace and community, and instilling these values within my staff has always been important to me. I simply love my work within Student Affairs and Graduate Health Professions Admissions. The feeling of making a difference among the students I have worked with over the years has been extremely rewarding.

Significant areas of expertise are in public speaking, student affairs, hiring/interviewing processes, advising students, and working with young professionals. I have presented and led a significant number of programs/workshops at conferences, keynote addresses, professional development retreats, and seminars. I enjoy and value these opportunities, and would like to continually gain experience in all of these areas by welcoming public speaking opportunities at events or conferences, as well as providing training or seminars on leadership, organizational behavior and development, management, and supervision topics. (I am not looking to change my employment, though.)
